The Marines have a new Commandant

Last Friday the Marine Corps got a new Commandant.

Shortly thereafter a 20 page document called the Commandants Planning Guidance was published. In this document the new leader of the Marine Corps outlines his goals and initiatives during the time he holds the office.

He thanks the Marines for their hard work and sacrifice, then he paints a picture of the current threat. He talks about the role of the Marine Corps. Then he outlines his priorities;

– We will continue to provide the best trained and equipped Marine units to Afghanistan. This will not change. This remains our top priority!

– We will rebalance our Corps, posture it for the future and aggressively experiment with and implement new capabilities and organizations.

– We will better educate and train our Marines to succeed in distributed operations and increasingly complex environments.

– We will keep faith with our Marines, our Sailors and our families.

In other words, the new guy made it perfectly clear to all his Marines why they exist, the threat they face, the things they need to do to stay viable and when some of the initiatives supporting these priorties will be completed.

Clarity….there are no doubts where he stands. Can you team say the same about you?

"Wally’s presentation was fast paced, engaging and right on target. His mix of personal adversity and success was inspiring to our management team. I’ve received countless accolades from my staff regarding Wally’s presentation. More importantly, Wally was able to incorporate our Corporate Values and Culture into his presentation. I would highly recommend Wally Adamchik and look forward to inviting him back for future presentations."
