Team stupidity

We have a new program at FireStarter on decision making. We looked back on some of the best models on decision making and put a great program together. Here is one of my favorite points…

No entire team goes stupid at the same time. In other words, someone knows what is really going on. Even if YOU don’t, SOMEONE does know and your challenge is to get them to get you in the loop. There are countless examples of people saying (after the crash) “I saw that coming….” “All he had do to was ask…”

You get the point. Part of teams may go stupid but entire teams don’t go stupid at the same time. What do you think?

"Thanks so much for being with us... You clearly moved many folks and the commitment sheets that we are getting back are better than we had expected.... Thanks so much for the tremendous amount of effort that you put into the presentation.  We fully realize what a valuable contribution this was. "
