Party like its 2008

Remember the good old days…back in early 2008?

I listened to an economist speak the other day and he suggested that rather than hoping for a return to the economy of 2008 – which was not going to happen – we would be better off by looking ahead to 2014 and to prepare our businesses to operate in that economy.

Another speaker challenged us to cast a critical eye on ANYTHING we had done, especially as it relates to technology (videos, web design, topic development) before 2008. His point was that technology has changed and we have the capability to do things we couldn’t even think of a few years back.

Another speaker said the desktop is dead, the tablet (think IPad) is the future…

What is changing in your industry and are you doing anything about it?
