National Cookie Month

HEADS UP – October is National Cookie Month..and Mrs. Fields cookies is offering a free chocolate chip cookie on Oct 1 from 11-1.

Those National days and months can seem pretty obscure. For example, January 15th is national hat day while Jan 18 is national Winnie The Pooh day. Jun 25 is national log cabin day and Sept 29 is national poisoned blackberry day – really.

We just celebrated Brothers Day in our house. A few weeks ago was Sisters Day. Our kids wondered why there is Mothers and Fathers Day, even Grandparents but none for them. Good point, so we created them. Of course, these are good reasons to eat cake, or Mrs. Fields too.

You need not wait for Nov 19 which is Have a bad day day to do something special. In fact, just about any day can be special if you put your mind to it. The calendar is great – New Years, Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving, Marine Corps Birthday, Christmas etc. All great days but you don’t need a calendar to have a great day.

Create your own day at work, or in your life, and work to make more of them special. Dec 3 is national roof over your head day but you can make today a great day, for you and your employees, if you choose for it to be.

OK, gotta go. Sep 30 is national mudpack day and I need to get ready.

"Wally’s presentation was fast paced, engaging and right on target. His mix of personal adversity and success was inspiring to our management team. I’ve received countless accolades from my staff regarding Wally’s presentation. More importantly, Wally was able to incorporate our Corporate Values and Culture into his presentation. I would highly recommend Wally Adamchik and look forward to inviting him back for future presentations."
