More than just a 5K
I ran a 5K today. Yup, 3.1 miles. There was a time in my life when this was a daily occurrence, not anymore. In fact, I haven’t really done much running in years but as a sponsor for a fundraiser race today to help injured Marines I decided to “take a run at it.” Perhaps more important is my daughter getting into running. Two months ago she couldn’t run a lap. Today we ran just under 26 minutes. How cool is that?
I am so proud of her and am totally motivated myself too. It felt so good to run. I admit my knee hurts, alot, but that will pass.
What are you doing to connect with family in new ways? How about doing something cool for yourself? I highly recommend it.
