How to Succeed in life (The Peter Drucker way)
Many know Peter Drucker as the “father of modern management” and you would do well to read any of his writings in that area but check out his thoughts on life.
Strategy one – live in more than one world…. Said differently, all work (or all play, or all family or all whatever) makes one a dimensional individual focusing on only one thing with no backup plan if that goes away
Strategy two – have a non-financial primary goal….Said differently, it isn’t about the money. Family, friends, legacy, reputation all seem to matter a great deal for people and transcend money.
Strategy three – Know and develop your core competencies. Said differently in the words of Marcus Buckingham – discover your strengths…and use them….abandon what is not working for you…look forward and don’t get caught up in a momentary set-back…
Words to live by….and as a leader a great conversation to have with those you lead.
"I have attended quite a few leadership seminars, and have tried to gather and relate things from each of them, but yours hit all 3 of us with material that relates and for myself commands an internal level of accountability and responsibility in what I do at our company. "
