Happy Christmas, I mean Merry Halloween

Went to the mall today – October 29.

The Christmas decorations are up. I know it happens every year now but I am still taken back by it. It just seems a tad too early for me. I remember when the day after Thanksgiving was when the decorations went up – at least I think that is how I remember it.

Now I need to make a point out of this. Well, from a leadership perspective it is good to give people something to look forward to. However, it is also good to get them to focus on the current reality. Creating a false sense of urgency and inflating the importance of things will decrease your credibility.

I know, decorations are supposed to make us feel good so we buy stuff. I still think they could wait a bit.

"I have received so many very positive comments about your workshop. Most importantly, the evaluations and the one-on-one feedback indicate that the participants picked up information and tips that they plan to apply both in their business and in their chapters."
