even the mighty..
In the past few weeks I have been with SAS (the worlds number one place to work), CAT ($40BB plus in revenue), CREE lighting (innovative maker of LEDs etc)…..and a few more.
All very different in what they do and how they do it.
All not different at all in trying to get a good grip on the attracting, training, developing and retaining of people. They all admit the people issue is a challenge and one they don’t have the ideal solution for.
Each has its unique challenges (and each is doing a great job) but the message for you is to get busy. If you think you have people development figured out. You don’t. If you know you don’t, what are you waiting for? Your competition is working on it right now.
"Your energetic speaking style and well-polished presentation captured the attention of the entire audience of nearly 300 Coast Guard personnel...Your familiarity with the Coast Guard and our missions was evident, as you incorporated service history and factual information in your presentation... Your sincere, heartfelt presentation certainly contributed to the overall readiness of this command. Thanks again!"
