Customer Appreciation – Arrichion Style
I have talked about, Arrichion, the yoga studio I go to before. Yesterday was their two year anniversary in Raleigh (they are open in Charlotte now too) and they had a cookout. Standard fare with hot dogs, burgers, cake etc. Quinn, one of the owners, made some comments about the success of the business. She thanked her teachers and she thanked us, her customers. It was heartfelt, it was nice. The entire family, all of whom are involved in the business, was there. They came from Charlotte and Greensboro to be there (3 hours and 1.5 hours one way drive).
Compare this to the “customer appreciation” day you might see at the local car dealer. It seems to me that really is just an excuse to run a sale to bring you in to sell you something. In fact, that car dealer isn’t looking to appreciate anyone except the potential buyer with money in hand.
Yesterday at Arrichion the only people who had their hands out were the owners saying thanks and the guests reaching for food. This truly was a day of customer appreciation and I felt. Um, appreciated.
How do your customers feel? Have you done anything to make them feel appreciated? (NOTE- customers can be internal or external).
The other day I got a hand written note from the manager of the local Staples (I spend alot of money there!)saying thanks for my business. OK, it wasn’t a cookout but he made the effort.
I try to thank my customers (To all customers reading this -thanks!). Of course, it will not be a cookout but a note of thanks goes a long way. You can do this.
Arrichion continues to do a fine job. Here is their website. As with all great customer service. I am telling other people. Are your customers singing your praises?
"I have attended quite a few leadership seminars, and have tried to gather and relate things from each of them, but yours hit all 3 of us with material that relates and for myself commands an internal level of accountability and responsibility in what I do at our company. "
