Clunkers, again
Yup, yet another post with clunkers in the background. As you know the program is ending this weekend. I am feeling pretty good about my drive to VT now…
There is a lesson here. I could have delayed and debated getting the new car. Every indication – ten days ago – was that the clunkers program would run well into September. So, there was no rush really. But once my decision was made I took immediate action.
All too often we delay a decision or are not aggressive in implementation and we miss an opportunity. Such would have been the case with my car had I delayed a few days. I am glad I didn’t delay but what about you?
Is there anything you have been procrastinating on? Is there anything you need to get started on? What are you waiting for? Get started or take it off the things to do list? If not take it off the list then create a realistic deadline for getting it done but don’t keep delaying.
" ...it was one of the most dynamic and interesting talks I have ever witnessed on general leadership and effective management. I thought it was very interesting to see how you approached the topic from the bottom up -- from the grunt's perspective. This made the topic very easy for me to relate to and gave me ideas on how to develop the leaders I am responsible for."
