Changing Demographics

Interesting article in USA Today about the huge changes in demographics in the US.

The article opens with these comments

The USA is bigger, older, more Hispanic and Asian and less wedded to marriage and
traditional families than it was in 1990. It also is less enamored of kids, more
embracing of several generations living under one roof, more inclusive of
same-sex couples, more cognizant of multiracial identities, more suburban, less
rural and leaning more to the South and West.

There are many implications for leaders and business in the changes highlighted in the article. The simplest way I can state it is this. The world you grew up in (unless you are 25) and the world in which you learned about work and the rules of work does not exist anymore. You can lament the loss of the good old days when gas stations were closed on Sunday and everybody you worked with was like you OR you can figure out how to harness these changes to benefit your business and enjoy success.
