Alone is hard

Just got back from a trip where I got to connect with two of my buddies from the National Speakers Assn. We were all speaking at the same event so we flew in early to spend some time together. Wow.

6 hours talking, sharing and brainstorming about our businesses. Very valuable

I also got feedback from them on my opening keynote presentation. I know I do a good job but it was particularly valuable to get input from two other Certified Speaking Professionals.

Who do you talk to? Who do lean on for support? All too often we try to be strong and go it alone but that can be more difficult than it needs to be.

"As a result of the session you delivered to my group, using “No Yelling” as the guide we have experienced an exceptional start to our 2009 construction season. Safety as usual is paramount, and our production rates have exceeded even my high expectations. There has been a positive shift in ownership from all that attended, which leads me to believe we could have the same success if we did the same kind of training with our front line labor force."
