A buttload of sexting – OMG

The title of this blog posting has been approved by the Oxford Dictionary. The Oxford is one of THE sources when it comes to words in use in the English language. It appears it is coming into the 21st century. And I confess, I have no idea what some of these “words” mean…but here are some of the newbies.

• bloggable
• feature phone
• trackpad
• onliner
• scareware
• cyberbullying
• cybersecurity
• clickjacking
• sexting
• woot
• tbh (short for ‘to be honest’)
• fnarr fnarr (described as “textspeak for sniggering”)
• tanorexia
• trolleyed
• nom nom
• bromance
• sammich
• prolly
• tmi (short for ‘too much information’)
• rumour mill
• light-bulb moment
• couch surfing
• ego-surfing
• hentai
• la-la land
• LOL
• meep
• muffin top
• OMG
• party-crashing
• wassup

and lets not forget a “heart” symbol……..really…

I am not sure if WTF made it this time but I am campaigning for it.

While you may be tempted to say OMG as the boss rolls out the new strategic plan, it is better to not LOL and to use adult words that business people tend to use. It will not be long before these words are even more mainstream, you don’t need to lead the charge.

OH, and spell check does not recognize these yet either.

What is sniggering?
