What is your mobile strategy?
Maybe the better question is do you even have a mobile strategy?
I just read yet another article on the ipad and how it is changing things. The latest one was about their increasing use on construction job sites.
What about all the social media opportunities? Is your website device friendly? What? Yes, does it display on a smart phone the way it displays on your computer. Not hard to do but have you done it?
For so long the entire web/IT/social media thing was some sort of afterthought. The real work of sales, marketing and production was what mattered and all that other stuff was secondary. Technology has changed the game – again – and you can no longer afford for it to be an afterthought.
I am sick of websites that have been under construction for months or years. I am even sicker of blogs that have not had a post in years. Clearly that was the whim of the moment by an intern back then but nothing has been done since then. That sends bad message to me about attention to detail. It also sends a message to any GenYs that are thinking about working for you firm. Actually, once they see that they are no longer thinking about your firm.
This doesn’t apply to you? Maybe not those two examples but if you don’t have a mobile strategy then it actually does apply. Yes, something else to deal with.
