Happy New Year
Wow, for an “off” week I have had alot going on.
- Working the new book.
- Very productive meetings with some speaker peers to work on the business
- Booking business for 2011
- Time with the kids etc.
- Took down the tree today
- You get the idea.
From the headlines today, headlines dominated by college football, we see this….
Pittsburgh fired football coach Mike Haywood on Saturday, saying he could not continue in the job he held for only 21/2 weeks because of his arrest on a domestic violence charge.
While some would claim innocent until proven guilty that bar is too low for the leadership at Pitt.
This is a matter of real regret for the many people at Pitt who had looked forward to working with him,” Nordenberg said. “However, head coaches are among the university’s most visible representatives and are expected to maintain high standards of personal conduct and to avoid situations that might reflect negatively on the university.
In chapter one of No Yelling we talk about Integrity and Setting the Example. Here is another example of how important, and founational, those two things really are.
By the way -what are you going to do differently this year to make 2011 one of your best ever?
