Education and appreciation
On Monday I talked about appreciation. Yesterday was education. Today, a bit of both.
I went on a field trip to the NC State Capitol and Legislative building. I had never been to either. It was an interesting trip. Sitting in the General Assembly I was reminded of the unique system of government we enjoy and was impressed by the importance of the place. Over at the Capitiol, which was originally built over 160 years ago I was able to reflect on some of the history that building has seen. It was witness to the Civil War. When it was built in the 1830s our Revolution was recent history as indicated by these bronze markers.

In light of the Monday post on Memorial Day (or not in Wake County) I think these are even more important.
One other comment. Find time to take an educational trip with a child. If not your own, maybe a niece or nephew or a neighbor but we see things in a totally different way when we are with them. If you can’t do that, observe them. They have much to teach us. Actually, they have much to remind us, we once knew it but we forgot it as the demands of growing up took over.
Stay Inspired…
"Wally’s presentation was fast paced, engaging and right on target. His mix of personal adversity and success was inspiring to our management team. I’ve received countless accolades from my staff regarding Wally’s presentation. More importantly, Wally was able to incorporate our Corporate Values and Culture into his presentation. I would highly recommend Wally Adamchik and look forward to inviting him back for future presentations."
