Did you see the smiles? In case you missed it, the US Golf Open went 91 holes (it was supposed to be over at 72) but nobody told Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate and they battled for another day. Of course, everyone expected Rocco to cave in and he did falter along the way but he never quit. And he never quit smiling. In the midst of the event he looked to a reporter and remarked, “Isnt this fun!”

FUN! Wow, millions of dollars at stake, a chance to get your name in the history books, on national TV, huge pressure etc etc and isnt it fun. There is a lesson in this for all of us. Enjoy the ride. Have fun. As a friend of mine says, “Why do you want to die all tensed up?” There are plenty of things to worry about these days and I am not saying to skip through life singing zip-a-de-doo-day all day long but…have fun. Nobody can take that away from you. Smile. Laugh. A million years from now none of this will matter! Today it matters that you have fun.
