I find this hard to believe

Current U of Kentucky mens basketball coach John Calipari has presided over two teams in the past that have had their records vacated (as in erased) because of violations of NCAA rules. The first was U Mass. Most recently it was Memphis.

In both cases he was not charged with any infraction. The NCAA said, there was no allegation that the coach knew or should have known so we didn’t go forward with that inquiry.” Wow. In my world the guy in charge is the one responsible for what happens – period.

I dont personally know Coach Calipari but I know when something doesn’t pass the smell test. This one fails.

Of course, he wins ball games and makes money for his school and the NCAA. There cant be anything wrong with that…………….just like there is nothing wrong with the game of baseball tainted by steroids.

The NFL is figuring it out and getting tough on violators. Maybe the NCAA and MLB can learn a bit from them. This is the same NCAA who hammers a kid for receiving a hot dog from an alumnus of the school. Sounds inconsistent to me.

So, are you consistent? Do you treat all your people equitably and fairly? Or might there be some priviledged ones on your team – and what message does that send to the rest of the team?

" ...it was one of the most dynamic and interesting talks I have ever witnessed on general leadership and effective management. I thought it was very interesting to see how you approached the topic from the bottom up -- from the grunt's perspective. This made the topic very easy for me to relate to and gave me ideas on how to develop the leaders I am responsible for."
