Above the treeline

Another busy week last week. I was in eight airports from east coast to west coast with a red eye for good measure.

I spoke in Banff, Alberta in the Canadian Rockies. When you think of snow covered mountains this is what comes to mind. The client suggested I come up a day early and go skiing. Sounded like a good idea until I realized I would be skiing with Canadians. That is like swimming fishes. At least I didn’t say I would play hockey!

Anyway, I hung in there pretty well. We skied over 30,000 vertical feet over the course of the day and I was on terrain unlike anything I had ever skied on. We were above the treeline at times and it was steep and long. Did I mention steep? My legs were screaming by the end of the day. All of our legs were.

It was “one of those days” that I will remember forever. When is the last time you created one of those for yourself? They usually don’t just happen for us, we have to work for them or go out of our way to make them happen. I hope you will.
