NSA Orlando
Greetings from Orlando.
I am attending the National Speakers Assn national convention. This is where speakers come to get educated, get motivated and see industry peers. It is always a very unique experience. From the main stage we have seen Wintley Phipps (pastor, singer, voice like James Earl Jones, entertained every President since Reagan), Mark Gungor (hilarious discourse on the difference between men and women) and NSA Member Chad Hymas.
I hit some golf balls before lunch yesterday. It was ugly. Was in a foul mood and then listened to Chad. He had a great life and then a huge (2000 pound) bail of hay fell on him. Paralyzed, life over. Of course, life was just beginning and, despite his challenges, he asserts he has a better life now. Wow. My golf game seemed much less important at that point! Great lesson for all of us there. Live life to the fullest and be grateful every day for what we have and those we love and who love us.
Will attend educational sessions today. Am actually speaking tomorrow in a session called Meet The Pros. Yes, I would be a pro amongst the pros (go figure). And my session is actually booked full. I guess people selected alphabetically!
More later.
"What can I say…. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You were definitely a big hit, as I knew you would be. I will highly recommend you for other speaking engagements and for other chapter events."
