Customer Service

As you know I bought new Toyota a few weeks ago. I just got this message…

On behalf of Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc., I would like to Thank You for your purchase of another new Toyota, and more importantly, staying in the Toyota family.

You purchased your new Highlander during a unique time in the U.S. automotive history. We appreciate your continued trust in Toyota, as we recognize that you had a choice in which vehicle to buy.

The purchase of your new Toyota also represents a sound investment in your automotive future. We have built our reputation on Quality, Dependability, Safety, and Reliability — proven in the fact that 80% of Toyotas sold in the last twenty years are still on the road today.

At Toyota, customer satisfaction is the cornerstone of our business. We want you to have a positive ownership experience with your vehicle. We also want you to realize all the benefits that come with being a Toyota owner. To that end, we invite you to register on Toyotaownersonline.com for complete owner information, easy to follow videos about the features of your new vehicle, scheduled maintenance, and much more.

Toyota Motor Sales and Toyota Dealers will continue to work diligently to earn and keep your business every day. We look forward to serving your automotive needs long into the future.

Thank you again for your business.

Sincerely,

Bob Carter
Group Vice President and General Manager, Toyota Division

I have no idea what GM might have done had I bought from them and I guess I will never know. One of the key reasons I bought a Toyota is the service. At the Chevy dealer there are two guys in a glass and cinder block bullpen who act as if you are in their way. At the Toyota dealer there are 8 guys in the Starbucks looking service area and a few more outside to greet you. They had me at hello.

This letter confirms my belief that I made a good purchase and that is a good selling technique. How well do you do with real service after the sale?
