Clunkers Part Three

In case you are wondering where I have been, I continued to work on that fun project from last Tuesday. Played some golf a couple of nights last week with the kids and bought a car. Well, almost on the car. I need to pick it up. But the phone calls and paperwork etc do add up.

The rest of the addition will be in driving to Vermont to pick it up. I know the dealer and trust him so I will go that far to do the deal. Especially after the guy down here wanted $1000 to a search. My brother told me of a coworker of his who was subjected to the old bait and switch. Sure, cmon in we have the car you want for $30,000. When he showed up it turns out they made a mistake, the car he wanted was actually $34,000 but since you are here why don’t you take a look. He didn’t. Amazing. Is this 1974?

It is 2009, please don’t use those tired and tacky techniques with your customers.

Oh, and because I will drive to (in the clunker) and from (in the new car) Vermont in the next few days, I may not post early this week. But if you subscribe by RSS feed it comes to you automatically anyway. If you dont…you can and it will save you time..

"Thanks for a fine presentation at UCT. I finished your book and it was a great read! After reading, I put together several pages of key points that I will try to work into my daily thought process."
