All they needed to do was add those little legs to the "X" in "Xmas.".
"My father was accustomed to being No. 1 in everything he did. He was the most skilled horseman, the fastest runner, the best driver, the top marksman." That crippled old heap of bones?!

Here's something I never fully understood:China's currency is pegged to the Dollar and the dollar is being printed massively. Doesn't that mean that the Yuan is being printed massively as well (to maintain the dollar-yuan peg)? Dollar is spread around the world but Yuan is generally limited to China, so the effects of inflation there must be even worse. I wonder if our printing will break their currency that they are forced to unpeg their yuan and stop the further flooding of yuan within their country?

There are a few options:1) The could adopt a smaller rotation window. Units deploy for 6 months at a time with a 3 month draw down. The downside is it's more costly. But it's far less stressful on the people you depend on.2) Scale back operations. With Obama dithering on what the mission actually is, do we really need so many people deployed?3) Increase incentives for people to join. It's far easier on the people if they have a larger pool to pull from.4) Increase incentives for re-enlistment. Soldiers needs a REASON to be put through the ringer time and again. Soldiers with a deployment history in good standing who choose to reenlist should receive something meaningful. Whether that's an extra allotment, mortgage assistance, setting up some sort of trust fund for their kids, SOMETHING. |
