| FUD - Live in fear. I like these China phobic people. How is the behavior of Chinese officials different from American corporations like RJR, Phillip Morris, Citigroup, Walmart or lobbyist from Milk, Pork, or Beef producers? Jingoism and fear. Fear the Chinese! The Chinese are out to get you, and so are the Socialist. Don't forget about the Russians, the Iranians, or Al-qaeda. You must live in fear. Arrggghhhhh! It is crazy. The real threat is the USA government where civil liberties and human rights are being eroded on a steady basis (just ask the people in Gitmo). |

@ ikorkyl : the CO2 concentration have increased by 1/3, and is by far the largest parts per million change of any gas in the atmosphere, and is still increasing. methane concentrations have more then doubled but doesn't accumulate as much as CO2 and concentrations are orders of magnatude lower.@thcobbs : most doomsday scenarios are rather exaggerated, CO2 will not (on its own) cause all life on the earth to die out, or even most of it. what it will do is disrupt and might even end civilization as we know it, causing massive amounts of damage, and create massive amounts of coping and adjustment costs to economy's and it will almost certainly cause increased food shortages and large amounts of human suffering.btw ash clouds will actually prevent photosynthesis, which in turn causes plants to die, and that in tern causes animals to die.
I can corroborate that there are indeed many in AT&T customer service that hate the place as much as we do. Example: I dropped my AT&T landline earlier this year. When the guy asked why, one of the reasons I gave was the NSA spying crap. He confided that I was far from alone, and he was none to happy with it either...

“The mainstream popularity of pole-dancing promises to give us a bountiful stream of videos of girls ripping the pole from the roof and falling on their asses for years to come.

What else do you suppose there is to the matter? I agree there's got to be more to the story, but in general:- Someone takes out life insurance- That person dies- Death certificate and cause of death provided- Insurance is paid out if circumstances meet criteriaNow that last one is crucial, but for both sides. The policy holder was murdered - the beneficiary is not a suspect, and thus the policy should be paid out. Here's the link to the Life Insurance Policy Claim Formhttp://www.aflac.com/us/en/docs/policyholders/clai ...You'll notice that all that is required for file a claim in this case (policy less than two years old) is a Death Certificate, Physicians Statement, a copy of the policy and Police Report. This meets the criteria set by the insurance company. The "insufficient proof of loss" is the part that needs clarification. Is this "insufficient proof of loss of income" or is this "insufficient proof of loss of life". They've said that they need the name of the person who caused the death. This isn't stated on the claim form however.See here:https://asc4.aflac.com/Web_Ordering/pdf/out/A-6207 ...Page 3 states that the policy won't be paid due to suicide within 2 years, nor will it be paid because you endangered yourself. It does not say anything about not paying out for murder without a suspects name. So unless there is a clause in the rest of the policy that says "give us a name", then they had no reason to deny the claim. So yes there's more to it - but how much more? One thing i found absurd... this is from the authorisation section of the claim form:"“Information†means facts or opinions relating to the deceased’s past, present, or future physical or mental health or condition".Future physical or mental health condition? So, perhaps, rigor mortis??
This reminds me of the time where I got into a heated argument with my girlfriend, when she insisted Subaru was an Australian car manufacturer.....shes no longer my girlfriend. |
