The solution to coercive control of a market should be decentralization and anti-trust action, and certain regulations on problem areas, not having the government start a regime of regulations to try and run the industry themselves. Many of the problems we have are becuase the regulators took too big of a chunk and were themselves bought, which would then turn the well meaning regulation of a company into protection for them.

I always wonder why people write articles about stuff like this, especially when if they didn't nobody would EVER know about it or have a chance to abuse it. Stuff like this is the internet equivalent of saying "The middle school on 5th street in Cleveland is concerned that pedophiles may take advantage of the fact that their children are frequently found to enter any vehicle with a lollipop painted on the side". Seriously, do the editors have no concept that their articles might TRIGGER malicious events??

Stupid question. Most people NEVER upgrade their Windows PC to the latest OS. They use the one it came with and get the latest when they replace it. A large percentage of Mac users however DO upgrade their OS when it comes out if their hardware is supported. Except for the extremely idiotic (which isn't an OS thing, just people that never seem to have a clue about...well...anything), they knew they couldn't upgrade to SL as PPC machines aren't supported. Since there were few new UI features in SL, it hardly matters
