| The average American is consuming about twice as much protein as their body requires or can even use-- not to mention the correlated excess in fat consumption. Anyway, farming meat requires much more in the way of land and resources than farming plants. If we're really trying to solve food shortage problems, animal agriculture's not the answer. |

I love that movie too, but Depp was incredible as Sparrow, he sold every second of that role. He almost single-handedly saved the third movie, but that one was too far gone.
You don't really understand many things, do you? That's okay, they have special buses for your kind.

“Oh, no. The President of the United States doesn't have time to send crappy little 140-character messages on a mostly-useless social networking site. Stop the f***ing presses. Considering that George W. Bush probably thought Twitter was something horny birds do, I still say we've gotten quite an upgrade.

In an ideal world — No. In an ideal world, taxpayers should be able to say what their tax money may or may not pay for.The fact is, when our taxes go into the mailbox and are received by the various tax collection offices, we lose our say as to how those tax dollars are spent. I wasn't happy that my tax dollars went to pay for Bush's war of choice, and many other things that I didn't approve of, before that. I'm furious that my tax dollars go into the coffers of the CIA and allow them to do things like crucify old men overseas. I don't approve of that. I don't approve of children being raped in front of their parents.Don't like the way your tax dollars are being spent? For most people, tax protests aren't an option. Changing the tax laws are ALWAYS an option. It's our government, it takes the shape We The People wish it to be. CHANGE THE LAW TO ALLOW TAXPAYERS TO CHOOSE WHAT THEIR TAXES FUND. Until that happens — grit your teeth, hold your nose and pay up. Or choose the option leading to jail and wage garnishment.?
Or, look at it this way:Who is more likely to go to a GP at the first sign of trouble, the insured, or the uninsured? The insured, of course. Now, how many of those uninsured who arrive at the ER die from a problem that could have been caught early on if they could afford to visit a general practitioner? That's where the real difference in the adjusted data can be found. |

I'd wager my immune system against anyone in the world after 6 years of college. There's a significant health benefit to eating expired food, drinking ***** beer, and exchanging bodily fluids with random girls on occasion.

There are a few options:1) The could adopt a smaller rotation window. Units deploy for 6 months at a time with a 3 month draw down. The downside is it's more costly. But it's far less stressful on the people you depend on.2) Scale back operations. With Obama dithering on what the mission actually is, do we really need so many people deployed?3) Increase incentives for people to join. It's far easier on the people if they have a larger pool to pull from.4) Increase incentives for re-enlistment. Soldiers needs a REASON to be put through the ringer time and again. Soldiers with a deployment history in good standing who choose to reenlist should receive something meaningful. Whether that's an extra allotment, mortgage assistance, setting up some sort of trust fund for their kids, SOMETHING.
