It is absolutely ridiculous to be talking about keeping people healthy with one hand while feeding them food that is terrible for them with the other.In addition, education must be a part of any health care reform. What I mean by that is education to adults about the dangers and causes of obesity. I'm talking more than just "eat vegetables not cookies" but actually teach them about carbohydrates, proteins, and fats and what they all mean and that neither fat nor carbohydrates have to be four letter words. Education is also needed for children to improve physical education at schools starting from the youngest age and to teach them that good foods can be good for you as well.The saddest part of this is that all this could probably be paid for with money that has been wasted by both this and the last administrations on wars, bailouts, and stimulus packages. While I'm on that subject... for the love of god reform the banking system already!
