Imagine going into a car dealership, forking over 25 grand for a new car and having the dealer turn around and say 'sorry, you don't get the car, but we get your money'. Then imagine that you try to take them to court but they bury you in lawyers and counter suits so you either run out of money or give up.Then, you decide to take the loss and say screw it. So you go to the next dealership and fork out another 25 grand for a car, but they wont even take your money or let you on the lot because the last dealership didn't give you a car for the money you paid.Now imagine that you can never get another car for the rest of your life because of it.Thats what all this ***** is tantamount to..
Ugh, the inclusion of both The Da Vinci Code and Twilight on the "best books" list hurts my brain. Does popularity now equal quality?Personally, I would have included both "Under the Banner of Heaven" by Jon Krakauer, and "House of Leaves" by Mark. Z. Danielewski.!
