Why does that matter? We're not taking 23 out of the number line, we're just retiring it from basketball. Why do we simultaneously claim that in schools and little leagues winning and honor are being devalued, while at the same time setting the bar for professional honors well above super-human?I'm not saying we completely ignore terrible acts off the court, just that we don't get stupid about the role athletes are expected to play in our culture.Jordan changed the game of basketball, give him the honor already..

Are you guys for real?How can you expect anyone else in the world to trust the US as a global superpower if you don't do the right thing in your own country?I understand the anger & emotion, but if a US citizen was captured in another country, the US would expect them to receive a fair trial, without which you would be here writing how bad the other country is, how they should have US justice, etc. Then & only then would the verdict & punishment be acceptable.?
