Hm... you're dugg down 12 times at the moment. I guess those three people created 9 fake accounts to pad the numbers. /s
yeah, apparently someone likes to digg down this thread :PAnyways, if I was a newcomer to facebook without any friends on it asking me to join, I highly doubt I'd pay the fee. Then again, if facebook became subscription, chances are they would offer a free trial period. So I'd try it then... see how it goes...As to digg being entertainment? Digg just aggregates content available elsewhere. It's not exactly doing anything i couldn't occupy my time with going directly to certain news sites. So no, I wouldn't pay for digg :PThen again, I think what really needs to happen is some sort of mass payment system. The reality is, most of the payment needs to be tied to the ISP. If my ISP said, I could get access to all these premium subscription sites (news, video...) for $5.00 a month, many more people would do it. Would I go out of my way to subscribe to each individual site, hell no.Just like, I don't go out of my way to rent movies anymore. But I'll definitely pay movies I can conveniently watch on my cable providers box. One bill. One interface... Yeah, I'm a sucker, I don't feel like going through torrents :P My time is worth more than the $4.00 is costs to just start watching it on the tv.It's the same with smartphones and apps. The successful app stores will be the ones tied to the ISP. I think even Windows Marketplace bills directly to the ISP.

“I'm a gamer and I've never felt the need to use Wine in Ubuntu...at least for games since it usually doesn't work very well. I guess there was a time, way back when I started using Ubuntu (6.06) that the nVidia drivers worked great in Linux so I was able to play a certain few games really well in Wine, but ever since Windows has outperformed it so I just game in Windows. I do often use Wine to run a few Windows only apps though, mainly uTorrent and Realterm (a serial terminal, useful for microcontroller programming) since there are no Linux versions.

I think Bruce Wayne turned out all right precisely because he's not real..
these people are more interested in Single Prayer Universal Churches, than actually helping people!

Uh, we don't hate Palin. We love Palin - she is so stupid that she is walking caricature and we laugh at the people that support her.You can call it "we are afraid of Palin" or "we are hating Palin" but you are confusing our laughing at Palin with your projection.

Economic ramifications of the decline of new builds aside... the LAST thing we need in this country are more new homes. Houses are such a waste of space and in general encourage sprawl. Id like to see a tax penalty for house buers and a credit for condo/townhouse/apartment *buyers*.Less sprawl, more urban development and revitalization.Ok you can dig me down now.
