GEICO is no better. I had a new car stolen that I had bought about 3 months before, with only 4K miles on it at the time it was stolen. So that's a full coverage policy. Well GEICO was going to pay the lien holding bank what that year and make vehicle would sell for in the Auto Trader. Auto Trader? I didn't buy the car from Auto Trader and the low mileage qualified the car as "like new".The car was recovered just days before the settlement (which would have netted me a huge loss) but what I learned was that if I had needed to settle, that I could have challenged Geico's choice of valuation of the vehicle and won.So Geico just tries to get away with screwing it's customers as a matter of course, which is the norm for the entire industry. This is what we defend as free market capitalism...Corporations raping the consumers.
