On the radio one time I heard him doing an interview that was obviously one of many that day. He seemed a bit burnt out from it, but was funny. At the end he did what sounded like a bong hit.

I don't think of the news as an education source. Furthermore, people who are less educated seem to watch the news a lot more than educated people. It's like they feed off of the crap and negativity.

China hides its buys in US based Hedge funds. When a US hedge fund buys a US corporation, it doesn't raise any eyebrows politically. (In practice, everyone in the govt. pretty much knows who is buying what, but if it doesn't look like a foreign country is buying a beloved US corporation, then the politicians don't care.)Dollars can only be spent in the US. With the US printing so many dollars, China's US cash holdings are literally devaluing in their hands. Because of this, China already has embarked on their plan to extract the value out of US dollars by buying up anything in the US that is worth a damn. There's already a bubble in the US commodities market driven largely from China buying up natural resources, which have a real intrinsic value that can't be manipulated. Since the US dollar is depreciating so quickly, I would guess that they would be accelerating their plan. Expect to see massive Mergers and Acquisitions activity in the coming few years. I expect them to buy up any US brand and/or technology they can get their hands on.

I bought an XBOX360 with a RRoD for 50 bucks then sent it to Microsoft to get fixed for free got it back in a week and it has been going strong ever since.. I'm thankful for the people who don't bother sending it in because there is no way I could afford a new next-gen console on my budget.

 As it would for most. Unfortunately, these types of scams usually aren't that obvious. The one my ex fell for said something about getting a coupon for your next purchase with PetsMart, or something like that.
