Agreed, you do not play beirut with good beer.
Call me a wacky traditionalist, but offices should have desks. Somewhere.

“There have been times where the wayback machine has definitely saved data that otherwise would have gone poof, forever. Case in point: I was looking for some info on an old synthesizer -- there was a page written by a musician containing a treasure-trove of reverse-engineered info he'd compiled over the years including ZIP archives of undocumented system-exclusive messages and file/disk formats.. unbeknownst to him, the archives on his server had become corrupted about a year before I visited. This info was NOWHERE else on the net since he wrote it all himself, and he'd not backed the files up (yes, stupid on his part).Anyway, long story short, the wayback machine had archived his intact ZIP files, which I helpfully emailed to him and he repaired his site :). Yes, he should have backed up his site, but he didn't, and the knowledge would have been lost forever otherwise. If you're so against the internet archive, I sincerely hope you never write anything useful on your site so no one depends on it.

I don't agree with what Blizzard is doing... having heroic modes and whatnot. And only the most dedicated should be seeing the end content anyhow. The world is kinda losing its "worldly" feeling... as a vast place of exploration and content. That said, getting epics was never a matter of difficulty. Just a matter of time and persistence. Get legendary items added a bit of pure luck (and guild generosity) as well.Hopefully Blizzard will realize one day that players like feeling special, and that's achieved by having rare and unique items that only a few people have. Lots of bitching will ensue, but I'd rather have one person have an item on my realm than to have the completely generic game we have today where Blizzard tries to satisfy everyone by giving everyone exactly what they want.Less Disney and more Las Vegas.

All of these top player awards are coming from MLB teams at the bottom of the win list. It's like the MLB has a farm system within the league.

I've seen this video and it is awful. I want to like cops. In fact, I can't stand the culture that doesn't believe in calling the police to resolve problems. There are too many bullies in police forces across the country. What's worse is that it's SOP to let them off the hook. If you're a cop testifying against another cop, you a ostracized and derailed from promotions. If you are a judge or ADA who actually tries a cop, you will get 0 cooperation in any of your future cases. The system is rigged for the bad guys who I would say make up a sizeable minority among police.
